Our Team
Crowned Pet Sitter of the Year for 2013, Sari Reis is the Owner and operator of Mission Valley Pet Sitting Services. For the better part of her life she has lived with pets including dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, and white mice. She currently is the mother of two Siamese cats, Loki and Zeus.
Sari is Pet First Aid Certified and is professionally Accredited with Pet Sitters International. She is also a Certified Humane Education Specialist. Having taken numerous courses online including Pet Nutrition, Essential Cat and Kitten Care and Care of the Senior Pet, Sari continues to expand her knowledge and skills. She is currently certified as an Animal Reiki Practitioner/Teacher and offers this service and benefit to her human and animal clients. Sari just completed a Certification program in Pet Loss and Grief Companioning and looks forward to providing this much needed service.
Amy Marrah has enjoyed working for MVPSS since August 2013. She has extensive volunteer experience with animal welfare organizations such as San Diego Humane Society, Feral Cat Coalition, and Rescue House. As a past employee with Health and Human Services, Amy has developed incredible compassion and a gentle nature. Her expertise and skill with shy cats is legendary. She shares her home with 3 felines. Amy has just become Certified as a Professional Pet Sitter with PSI.
Amy Shaw has worked as a dog walker, pet sitter and cat care giver with Mission Valley Pet Sitting Services for over 8 years. In June of 2009, after spending a number of years in the corporate world, she turned her passion for animals into volunteering at the San Diego Humane Society on Gaines St. Besides walking dogs there, she also assists with the Training and Behavior department at the Sherman St. facility. Amy is our "go to" person when client's pets have behavior issues and need a loving guided hand. Amy also has 3 kitties that call her "mom".
